How to Get ISO Certificate?

The steps to be followed to obtain an ISO Certificate may vary depending on the requirements of the relevant ISO standard, the company´s field of activity, size and processes. However, we can say that the steps to be taken in the ISO certification process are similar in general. Accordingly, the organization that wants to obtain an ISO Certificate should follow these steps in summary:

1. Preparation for Certification
In the first step after deciding to obtain an ISO Certificate, a preparation process must be carried out within the company. During this process, some preparatory meetings should be held with the participation of the company´s senior managers, quality systems officers and other relevant employees. In addition, during the process of obtaining ISO certification, interviews should be made with the managers of the company that will receive consultancy services. Training should be provided on the scope of the said standard, how it will be applied, certification procedures, etc. These trainings are usually given by consulting firms. Issues such as who will carry out the certification process on the company side and who will lead the executive team, etc. should be clarified.

2. Project Planning
After the preparation phase is completed, it is determined how ready the business is to receive the ISO certificate to be requested. At this point, the current situation of the company is analyzed and the deficiencies related to the scope of the document and what to do to eliminate them are determined. In addition, issues related to the management structure of the company are discussed with the project team, namely the managers, employees and the officials of the consulting firm. A more concrete project plan for certification is prepared by evaluating the resources used by the company, the procedures it implements, the current workforce, stakeholder relations, etc. For example, it may be necessary to hire new people, purchase new software or make new investments to establish, operate and/or develop the certification system. All these issues should be comprehensively evaluated during the project planning phase.

3. Certification Trainings
Today, there are basic ISO trainings that education, consultancy and certification bodies usually give for informational purposes. But at this stage These are company-specific trainings. In other words, training by evaluating the progress and scale of the hotel, receiving, harsh evaluation and evaluation for products and services. In this context, these purposes, the duration of these profile trainings. Different training training may be provided for some different individuals or teams. The purpose of these trainings is not to inform about the ISO Document, but to have knowledge about it.

4. Setting up the System
A management system is established and implemented in all standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 22000. A written statement regarding a requirement of the standard should be prepared. Also, for commercial use (preparing for commercial production, packaging, doing business, etc.). From the designation of this design, it should not be overlooked. A preparatory system should be developed for all these considerations regarding the ISO standard. It will be measured, planned and optimized until close to ISO management. This stage is the necessary actions related to all issues.

5. Implementation of the System
This stage is the step in which the management system necessary for the preparation of the said ISO settings is implemented. The system is observed and begins to be observed. Quick sample exercises are done. In this process, it is applied in a specific process or a section, not the entire system plan. The system is corrected and improved. It is an unexpected approach to reach an application comprehensively to extend the scope. Actions consisting of content that is found to be incomplete and / or incorrect regarding the application, immediately.
